Trading Up

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. It does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, microphone, or camera.

Network access

Trading Up makes no network requests. Every card, image, and price is bundled inside the app, so it works exactly the same in airplane mode as it does online. There is no server to send data to.

Where your game data lives

Your progress — cash, collection, grades, and statistics — is stored in a single file inside the app's own private container on your device. It is never sent anywhere, and no one but you can read it.

If you have iCloud device backups turned on, that file may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup, the same as any other app's data. The developer has no access to it.

Deleting the app deletes that file permanently. You can also clear your current run from inside the app at any time, without deleting it, via Stats › New Game.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13, so there is no personal information for a parent or guardian to review or request the deletion of.

Purchases

The app offers a single optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the remaining card sets. It is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — the app never sees your payment details and collects nothing about the transaction. There is no advertising. The $ figures in the game are a fictional in-game currency that is granted by the game, cannot be bought, and cannot be exchanged for anything outside the app.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes what it collects, this page and the app's App Store privacy label will be updated together, before that version ships.
